A New Jeep Grand Cherokee Is Set To Outperform The Competition, and Here’s Why.

Fiat Chrysler America spent a lot of time and energy over many years trying to break into the electric car market. No matter what they tried, they failed. They merged with Peugeot in 2021 since they couldn’t make a viable electric car. This combination was well worth the investment. The Grand Cherokee 4xe is the latest hybrid vehicle to be offered by the manufacturer.

After the overwhelming success of the Jeep Wrangler 4×4, news of the Grand Cherokee 4xe introduction is welcome. The new, fifth-generation Grand Cherokee may be a smash hit for Jeep. Three variants of the plug-in hybrid SUV are offered. All are based on the same chassis as the Wrangler 4xe, which has a 2.0 L turbocharged powerplant. Also standard is an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

From that point on, the three arrangements diverge. The starting price for the basic model is $60,695. Just like any other “basic model” on the lot, this one doesn’t come with any frills. The Grand Cherokee 4xe with all the bells and whistles will not come cheap.

The price of the Grand Cherokee 4xe mid-range variant is around $71,790. The Trailhawk 4xe offers several great options in this setup. It boasts Nappa leather seats, a front-axle disconnect, and all of Jeep’s driver-assist gadgets. The latter is useful if the road conditions don’t call for 4-wheel drive.

Even the exterior details were not forgotten by Jeep. They guaranteed that the outside of the Grand Cherokee 4×4 was likewise adorned with flashy accessories. The blue towing hooks and hood decal make the SUV easy to see.

This Grand Cherokee 4×4 trim level also has various games to keep the kids occupied. There are screens fitted into each of the back seats, which is wonderful news for parents taking a long journey with children. But there’s nothing to fret about. No one forgets about the front seat passenger. As an added safety feature, they include a built-in screen with polarized glass.

Spend a little more and you can have yourself a luxurious Grand Cherokee 4xe. At $76,070, the Summit Reserve is the most expensive option. The exorbitant price tag comes with some cool extras, such as an astounding 8.4 inches of ground clearance. Three screens can be seen on the dashboard, which also has wood trim and metal accents. It has high-tech LED lighting on the exterior and luxurious Palermo leather on the inside, so Jeep naturally priced it at the top of the range.

When it comes to speed and acceleration, the Grand Cherokee 4xe falls short of expectations. Other plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) are superior than it in terms of range, both when considering the hybrid and the electric modes of operation. Obviously, this is bad news for Jeep. But they’ll probably keep trying to boost the gas mileage. With its current battery technology, it can go 25 miles on electric power alone, giving it a rating of 56 MPGe.

The SUV’s performance on regular roads is inferior than that of other similar vehicles. Nonetheless, that’s not the primary motivation for Jeep purchases. The Grand Cherokee 4xe is unparalleled in its ability to conquer rugged terrain. You have now found the best hybrid SUV for off-road use. You should budget a lot of money for this.
